MEMBERS BIO
Keith
Mitchell Lead
Vocals, Percussion, Keyboards. Keith hails from North Georgia. You may
recognize his face- He's performed on Star Search several times, and
his vocal power is something you won't soon forget. Before joining Kid
Brothers, Keith performed in several popular show acts, including a
stint with the popular Southern group, Wet Willie. Along with
guitarist Jim Durand, you can hear Keith's vocals on many local
jingles here in the Atlanta area. Keith has an uncanny ability to
imitate just about any singer- Male or Female. Surprisingly Keith was
actually a keyboard player in his other bands, fortunately, we knew he
was too good to be trapped behind a keyboard all night.
David Brown
Lead Vocals, Guitars, Percussion .
Our newest member David owns an incredible voice. This talented
singer/songwriter/guitarist/producer started his musical career in
1984 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Since then, he has been the lead
singer and rhythm guitarist for several different bands including
Alethea, Code Blue, The Toys, The Psychedelic Cowboys and most
recently The David Brown Band; performing at hundreds of venues in the
Atlanta, Nashville, Chattanooga areas; as well as opening for such
renowned and diverse (as well as crowd- drawing) acts as Yes, Paul
Rodgers (of Bad Company), Eddie Money, Johnny Van Zant, Starship,
Atlanta Rhythm Section, just to name a few. In addition to
his solo work, Brown has extensive studio experience, recording both
with his bands and with professional sidemen. He has worked with Steve
Nathan (renowned studio keyboardist), Bryan Holmes (drummer for the
Producers and Kansas), Tim Smith (bassist for Jellyfish and Sheryl
Crow), Brendan O'Brien (producer for Aerosmith, Pearl Jam and The
Stone Temple Pilots), Charlie Adams (drummer for Yanni) and many other
topnotch performers. To find out more log onto www.myspace.com/davidbrown007
Jim Durand,
Guitars, Vocals. Originally from Virginia Beach, VA, Jim has played in
several popular Club and Show Acts. Jim's band "the Joe
Band" was a popular act that traversed the East Coast. and
Midwest. Also an active composer, Jim wrote the the tune "Dance
Dance Dance" for the Jerzees Clothing company ad campaign. A
brief bit of trivia: the Kid Brothers themselves appeared in several
of the commercials that aired nationwide. Jim's smooth guitar work can
also be in heard in several soundtracks, including the movie
"Fast Food" starring lovable Ernest. A walking encyclopedia
of Guitar, Jim probably knows the Guitar solo from almost every Rock
song ever recorded. For a bit of fun, try stumping him next time you
see the band.
Chris
Corso,
Keyboards, Vocals. A NYC transplant, Chris has played with several
national acts, including: Dave
Mason, John Denver, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Phoebe Snow
and several others. Chris is a busy composer and owns
the Atlanta Music Deli a music production house in Atlanta.
He's written music for several documentaries and multi-media CD ROMs.
He's also keyboardist for the Temptations, the Drifters and Platters.
A closet retro jazz pianist Chris has a second solo album
due this year. Always the opportunist, he would love for
you to check out his web
site to learn more. Chris' other passion is the B3 organ.
Visit his web to find Atlanta recording artists featuring his playing.
Felton
Dunn,
Bass, Vocals. Equally gifted as player and singer, Felton is a true
native Georgian. He was a member of the Atlanta
Symphony Chorus under the direction of
Robert Shaw before entering the fast world of Rock and Roll. He
toured in several USO shows throughout Europe and the States. Felton
has been in several popular local acts; his band First National, was
actually the nucleus for what was to become Kid Brothers. Amazingly
versatile, he also plays Cello, Mandolin, Banjo and Guitar. When he's
not holding down the low end for Kid Brothers, Felton can usually be
seen "sitting in" at many of Atlanta's hot spot clubs.
A sure thing on "Who wants to be a millionaire",
Felton is a virtual mental library of what we like to call
"useless trivia'"- obscure songs, movies, and bad TV.
Gary Stone,
Drums, Vocals. Though a native Southerner from Stockbridge Georgia,
Gary has lived just about everywhere in his Rock and Roll travels.
Having played drums in nearly all 50 States, his resume reads like a
Who's Who list of Rock and Roll. A small portion of the artists
he's played with: Billy
Joe Royal, Tommy Roe, Fats Domino, Magor Lance, Dee Clark., and
Vern Gosden. As a first call studio musician, Gary has performed on
countless commercials and jingles in the Atlanta area. Gary is one of
the founding members of Kid brothers, and was the original drummer for
the popular act First National. Perhaps as a result of all
his travels, Gary appears to have memorized a Road Atlas. For a
near-game show experience, ask him any city; he probably has not only
played it, but can tell you how to get there- with suggested stops
along the way.
